The inaugural Hoops on the Ave. festival is happening May 28 in Wicomico County, Maryland.

Hoops on the Ave. is an outdoor family-friendly festival celebrating the culture surrounding the sport of basketball. It’s set for Saturday, May 28, outside the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland. The event will run from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Registration is open through May 13 (or until full) for the event’s 3v3 basketball tournaments, which will feature five divisions: Elite Men’s, Men’s, Women’s, High School and Middle School. Youth divisions must have an adult coach. A total of $1,500 in cash prizes will be awarded.

The festival is free to attend and will include food vendors; interactive art activities; live hip hop, reggae and go-go music; a sneaker marketplace; and a kids’ area.

Organizers are the Wicomico County Recreation & Parks and the Mizzle House Foundation, and sponsors are TrueBounce and the Delmarva Sports Network.
