DESCRIPTION:Now celebrating its fifth season\, Summer Sessions has quickly become one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most distinctive summer music traditions. Set at the historic Old Carter Barn  on the shores of Lake Carey in Tunkhannock\, the series brings together outstanding regional musicians and enthusiastic audiences for unforgettable evenings of live music in a uniquely intimate setting. \nSummer Sessions was founded by composer Lewis Flinn\, playwright Douglas Carter Beane\, and arts advocate Dan Tompkins\, who shared a vision of transforming the beautifully restored 19th-century barn into a vibrant gathering place for music and community. Presented by the Old Carter Barn Arts Initiative in association with the North Branch Art Trail  the series features an eclectic lineup spanning classical\, blues\, country rock\, Americana\, and more. \nEach concert is more than just a performance—it’s a summer night out. Guests arrive early\, enjoy rotating food trucks\, desserts\, craft beer and wine\, and settle in as the barn fills with music and the warm energy of a lakeside crowd.
