The 50th Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival will take place at Cape Henlopen State Park on Good Friday, March 30th, 2018. The festival includes a visit from the Easter Bunny, Easter Egg Hunt for 6,000 eggs filled with candy and toys, Team Egg Toss Competition, professional stunt kite flying demonstrations, and Kite Competitions for different age groups from children to adults.
Also enjoy performances by Cascading Carlos the juggler, Bounce House, food vendors, face painting and a free Kite Craft Table from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Entrance fees apply for cars to enter Cape Henlopen State Park which will be collected at the entrance to the park – $5 per car for Delaware license tags and $10 per car for out-of- state tags. The Jolly Trolley will transport spectators at no cost to the competition field from the state park’s beach parking lot and handicap parking is available at the Seaside Nature Center parking lot.
