The Governors Challenge basketball tournament, held in Salisbury, Maryland, has grown to be the largest holiday basketball tournament in the country. In its 40th year, the Governors Challenge will bring teams from numerous states to the Wicomico Civic Center and surrounding venues from Dec. 26-30. In addition to showcase games and bracket play, the tournament features competitions, including a slam dunk contest.
