Field to Festival Trail launched in Adams County, PA April 29, 2026Destination Gettysburg is excited to announce a new regional trail that highlights Adams County’s orchards, farm markets, and craft beverages. The Adams County Field to Festival Trail, launching in conjunction with the season opening of the Adams County Farmers Market on April 25, recognizes local growers and beverage makers as well as the seasonal events and experiences that celebrate agriculture across the area. The trail follows the growing season and culminates with the peak of the apple harvest and the National Apple Harvest Festival in Biglerville during the first two weekends in October. With more than 20,000 acres of fields and farms, Adams County produces more than 100 varieties of apples, as well as strawberries, cherries, blueberries, and peaches. “We’re excited about the Field to Festival Trail because it offers unique experiences for visitors to Adams County,” said Destination Gettysburg President & CEO Karl Pietrzak. “In addition to the 17 locations along the trail, for the first time, we are including a dozen events for visitors to experience over a period of six months.” Among the events are: May 30-31 – Strawberry Festival at Hollabaugh Bros., Inc. June 13 – PA Cider Fest July 26 – Historic Round Barn’s Old-Fashioned Corn Fest August 15 – Gettysburg Brewfest September 19-20 – 13th Annual Sweet Potato Festival A free digital passport provides the locations and operating hours of sites along the trail, and there are incentives and rewards to help guests navigate their journey.
