Chicago O’Hare is the third-largest U.S. air travel market and a key connecting point for coast-to-coast flights. American Airlines will launch service on May 21, 2026, with a daily 65-seat regional jet departing ERI at 6:40 a.m. and returning from ORD at 11:15 p.m. United Airlines will begin service on June 1, 2026, with three daily nonstop flights, marking its return to Erie and restoring a key Midwest connection.
