Laurel Highlands (PA)

Celebrate The King of golf in his hometown. Arnold Palmer’s Country Club, where the seven-time major champion learned to play, isn’t open to the public, but two lodging options provide access. Stay in an-own property home or at the SpringHill Suites in Latrobe and get in the game. Standard greens fees apply. Reservations and tee times must be made in advance.

The Avalon Field Club at New Castle was established in 1923 as the New Castle Field Club and the original club crest is still hanging in the renovated Great Room in the Clubhouse. Close to the banks of the Potomac in Sterling, east Loudoun, Algonkian Golf Course is one of the finest public courses in Virginia, with 18 holes of immaculately maintained Bermuda grass fairways, a tree-lined front nine with three water holes and a back nine with doglegs and hazards.
